Build a low-maintenance deck at the cottage

Category :

UltraShield Naturale decking boards are highly appreciated mainly because they require no special maintenance. A simple spray of water can be sufficient to clean a NewTechWood composite wood patio. Consequently, our products are well-suited for elegant cottages and vacation homes. In the following case study, our hollow boards were used to create a new outdoor living space.

Challenge

Design an outdoor space that connects the covered porch of the cottage to the hot tub, both summer and winter.

Opportunity

The location of the deck offered ample space for a beautiful, spacious, and inviting layout.

Solution

Cover a wooden structure with UltraShield Naturale decking made from NewTechWood composite. Why? Because composite wood boards are much easier to maintain and, in the case of a cottage, they perfectly met the priority criteria: elegance, a warm wood effect, and maximum leisure time.

Result

The construction of this deck, covering an area of 12 x 25 feet, was completed in a day and a half by two construction experts. It features three stairs, also made of NewTechWood composite.

The client expressed satisfaction with her layout, particularly glad to no longer have grass clinging to her feet when entering and exiting the hot tub. She has created a sitting area to enjoy her morning coffee outdoors and a cooking area to minimize trips to the indoor kitchen.

Color

Roman Antique – The Roman Antique shade corresponds to a warm gray, meaning it has a tone derived from the yellow family. Since the cottage is primarily white, small in size, and surrounded by many trees, the owner desired a light, soft, and harmonious color to invite light into this naturally shaded setting.

Thank you for trusting us by choosing our products.

Available near you, our decking boards come in the colors Roman Antique, Peruvian Teak, Brazilian Ipe, Australian Red Cedar, and Hawaiian Charcoal. Here, the owner chose a smooth “brushed” finish, but she could have also opted for a textured effect, which is closer to that of raw wood.
